Brew Number 58

  • Gumpy's "Aussie Pub Draught" kit
  • 1.7 kg Grumpy's Medium Bittered LME (25 IBUs)
  • Wyeast #2112 (Californian Lager) (1st generation - 20/05/07)

Was brought out to 19L. Yeast pitched at 27.25 degrees. Used fermenter #1.

Apparently the yeast has an apparent attenuation of 697% If that is so the final gravity should be...
FG = (SG - 1000) * (1 - AA/100) + 1000 
   = ((1045 - 1000) * (1 - 69/100)) + 1000
   = 1014.0

Notes
  • Boiled with finishing hops for approx 2 minutes.
  • Used 200mL of the 1st generation starter made on 20/05/07, made some more with the last 100mL.
  • Beer fermented at 14C.
  • Got 60 375mL stubbies from 23L of beer.
  • Used 180g of priming sugar.
