Kit contained
  • 1.7kg Brewcraft golden liquid malt
  • 1.7kg Brewcraft light liquid malt
  • 500g dry malt
  • US-05 yeast
  • 25g Galaxy hops
  • 25g Amarillo hops
  • 25g Cascade hops
  • 25g Crystal hops
  • 15g Cascade hops

Brought out to 21L in Fermzilla.

The yeast has an apparent attenuation of 80% If that is so the final gravity should be...

FG = (SG - 1000) * (1 - AA/100) + 1000 
   = ((1046 - 1000) * (1 - 80/100)) + 1000
   = 1009.2

Notes
  • Yeast pitched at 22C.
  • Temperature set at 20C.
  • Used iSpindel3.
  • Spunding valve set to 26 PSI (American Ale should have 2.2 - 3.0 volumes of CO2, used 2.4).
  • ABV = 1.646 * RI - 2.703 * (145 - 145 / SG) - 1.794 = 7.1%
  • Grafana plot
  • Fermenter split along the seal losing pressure.
  • Bulk primed in a keg with 165g sugar.
