Brew Number 59

  • Gumpy's "Boston Cream" Ale kit
  • 1.7 kg Grumpy's Medium Bittered LME (25 IBUs)
  • Wyeast #1275 (Thames Valley) (2nd generation - 30/09/07)

Was brought out to 23L. Yeast pitched at 28.75 degrees. Used fermenter #2.

Apparently the yeast has an apparent attenuation of 77% If that is so the final gravity should be...
FG = (SG - 1000) * (1 - AA/100) + 1000 
   = ((1041 - 1000) * (1 - 77/100)) + 1000
   = 1009.43

  • Temperature set at 16C.

  • Got 60 375mL stubbiies from 22.5 L of beer.
