Brew Number 37

  • Grumpy's "Yorkshire Toffee" Traditional Mild Ale
  • Grumpy's Low Bittered Light Malt Extract (20 IBUs)
  • Wyeast #1335 (British Ale II) (1st generation)

Was brought out to 23L. Yeast pitched at 25.5 degrees. Used fermenter #3.

Apparently the yeast has an apparent attenuation of 74% If that is so the final gravity should be...
FG = (SG - 1000) * (1 - AA/100) + 1000 
   = ((1039 - 1000) * (1 - 74/100)) + 1000
   = 1010.1

Notes
  • Used 200mL of the 1st generation starter made on 14/12/05.
  • Boiled with the finishing hops for 3 minutes.
  • Used 180g of priming sugar.
