Brew Number 10

  • Goliath Knight's Mild Toffee
  • Coopers Draught Malt extract
  • Wyeast Whitbread Ale Yeast (#1099)

Was brought out to 23L. Yeast pitched at 19.1 C

Apparently the yeast has an apparent attenuation of 71-75% If that is so the final gravity should be...
FG = (SG - 1000) * (1 - AA/100) + 1000 
   = ((1032 - 1000) * (1 - 73/100)) + 1000
   = 1008.6

Notes
  • Boiled hops for 2 minutes
  • Took 500mL of wort to use as a starter
  • Used 2 tablespoons of sludge to make a new yeast starter
  • Bottled 57 375mL stubbies
  • Used 160g of priming sugar which seems to be way to little as they are rather flat!
