Brew Number 48

  • Gumpy's "Boston Cream" Ale kit
  • 1.7 kg Grumpy's Light LME (30 IBUs)
  • Wyeast #1332 (Northwest Ale) (4th generation - 12/01/07)

Was brought out to 23L. Yeast pitched at 30.1 degrees. Used fermenter #3.

Apparently the yeast has an apparent attenuation of 69% If that is so the final gravity should be...

FG = (SG - 1000) * (1 - AA/100) + 1000 
   = ((1045 - 1000) * (1 - 69/100)) + 1000
   = 1014.0

Notes

  • Boiled with finishing hops for 3 minutes.
  • Used 150mL of the 4th generation starter made on 12/01/07.
  • Used 160g of priming sugar.
  • Got 60 375mL stubbies from 23L of beer.
